Primary Grades Curriculum

There is an emphasis on developing

a firm academic foundation and a love of learning. 

All subject areas are taught in a self-contained environment.

Religious instruction continues the study of Jesus, the Holy Spirit,

the Catholic Church and the sacraments.

Reading and Language Arts

are presented as an integrated curriculum. 

This uses age appropriate literature

to enhance reading comprehension, oral language development,  phonic skills, vocabulary, grammar and writing activities.

Mathematics reinforces number sense,

problem solving and pre-algebraic reasoning.

The Science program teaches the awareness of growth and change,

especially in  plants and the subjects of sound, light and weather.

Social Studies focuses on family, homes and holiday celebrations.

Science is a hands on subject during which students learn

about the human body and Physical and Earth Science.
